One Albert Quay is one of Ireland’s flagship sustainable office developments, meeting Gold LEED standards. Situated next to Cork’s City Hall, the €58 million commercial property features a stunning glass façade to overlook the River Lee.
A series of high-performance Geocel and DOWSIL™ sealants were specified to support the project. Geocel 925 NS was selected to seal natural stone elements of the building, while DOWSIL™ 993 and 791 were used to structurally bond and weather seal external sections of the façade
Clatterbridge Cancer Centre, Liverpool
Part of a £162 million investment to expand and transform cancer services in Cheshire and Merseyside, Liverpool’s Clatterbridge Cancer Centre opened for patient use in 2020.
The highly glazed building, which includes 106 rooms with floor-to-ceiling windows, utilised high-performance DOWSIL™ 791 and 993 silicone sealants to secure the glass units in place and meet crucial specification requirements.
Horgan’s Quay, Cork
As part of a major rejuvenation scheme at Horgan’s Quay in Cork, DOWSIL™ 993 and 791 silicones were utilised to seal the external windows on the project’s impressive glass façade.
DOWSIL™ 791 was selected thanks to its excellent joint movement capacity while DOWSIL™ 993 provided a superior bond for glass sealed units.
IPC House, Dublin
Completed in 2020, Dublin’s IPC House is an impressive €30million commercial project featuring an in-situ concrete frame and façade constructed from a combination of curtain walling and stone cladding.
To complete the installation of the curtain wall, DOWSIL™ 791 and 993 were specified to ensure a strong structural and weatherproof bond.
