In 2020, Dublin’s National Rehabilitation Hospital (NRH) opened a new state of the art Sports and Exercise Therapy facility – the first purpose-built rehabilitation facility in Ireland.
The building also features a contemporary façade, designed to immerse patient spaces into the surrounding landscape. Largely thanks to its ability to meet crucial performance requirements, DOWSIL™ 791 was used to seal the building’s curtain wall glazing elements.
One South County, Dublin
Completed in 2019, One South County features a full height atrium and penthouse roof garden, as well as floor to ceiling windows extending around all sides of the striking building.
Here, high-performance DOWSIL™ 791 and 993 silicones were selected to seal its fully glazed external façade.
Penrose Dock, Cork
Located in Cork’s Victorian Quarter, Penrose Dock is a stunning 250,000 ft2 commercial development consisting of two impressive Grade A office buildings. To support the project’s installation, a series of DOWSIL™ silicone sealants were selected.
DOWSIL™ Firestop 700 was selected to ensure the prevention of smoke and flames spreading through expansion joints in the event of a fire, while DOWSIL™ 895 and 791 were used to structurally bond and weatherproof the project’s external glass windows.
Stemple Building Exchange, Dublin
Interconnected by a landscaped plaza, the Stemple Exchange is an impressive pair of mirrored office developments in Blanchardstown Corporate Park, Dublin.
Incorporating double-glazed curtain walling on all sides of the two buildings, the project required a number of high-performance sealants that could be relied upon for the job at hand. Here, Dowsil 895 One Part Structural Sealant was approved for all the glass corners the curtain walling detail.
