Miesian Plaza, Dublin

Consisting of three identical buildings, Dublin’s Miesian Plaza features a distinctive bronze curtain wall that incorporates double glazed units to emulate the appearance of the Seagram Building in New York.
Originally built in two phases between 1968 and 1976, Miesian Plaza underwent a refurbishment to dismantle and reinstall the existing glazing and cladding system before reinstalling it.
DOWSIL™ 791 silicone was chosen to support the refurbishment, weathersealing the bronze curtain wall and guaranteeing a high strength and reliable bond.

Working with Alucraft, Sherwin-Williams supplied its DOWSIL™ 993 structural glazing sealant to seal the external glass units and create an impressive façade.
Furthermore, high-performance sealant Geocel 925NS was specified for use on the natural stone elements of the façade – with Sherwin-Williams providing the complete façade package
